Twin Wall Insulated Flue Systems

These flue systems are ideal if you do not have a Class 1 chimney. They can be installed in almost any location and in a number of different variations. There are, however, 2 main ways of installing these, either :-

  1. Straight up, either through the room above or roof space and termination on the roof through a lead flashing.
  2. On an external wall, rising for a short distance vertically then through the wall at a 45 angle and continuing up to the eaves/ridge (if gable end).

We have a good selection of flue systems from the very best manufacturers, including SFL, Negarra and Poujoulat. These are made from 316 grade stainless steel both on the inside and outside of the component, with a mineral wool insulation between the inner and outer core.

This insulation ensures the central core retains the heat from the flued gases, whilst the exterior is substantially cooler. This allows for the flue components to only require a 50-60mm distance from combustible materials.

If you feel the natural colour of the flue system is too utilitarian then we can arrange for this to be powder coated. Whilst the most popular colour is black (the majority of stoves are black!) you can have the flue system powder coated to any RAL number you wish (an additional premium may be required).

  1. more cost effective than a brick built chimney
  2. more flexible in respect of the location
  3. can normally be installed in one day and without scaffolding
